Gee Sharky, your Pajero looks pretty tidy. Have you had it since new. How do you find the diesel performs off road.

Thanks Robo I bought it 14 months ago I paid too much for it but a 97 model with 57000 on the clock(done 80000 now) is pretty rare. It was a retired doctors car that he'd done a couple of trips and basically met his maker so apperantly it sat for a while until the widow decided to sell it. when I got it apart from the bar it was stock as a rock I have done a fair bit to it with extras Pic when I got it

I havent taken it too extreme offroad but it does ok, being diesel a lot more economical than my petrol ones I had. Also very comfortable compared to my 80 and GQ I used to have. I do notice its smaller inside
though but generally happy with it

Yeah, i know what you mean about the size, we had a 62 series cruiser before the Pajeo and really noticed the lack of room the 1st time we took the Pajero camping, mostly luggage space in the back, we struggled to get all the camping gear in. Had to take the 6th and 7th seats out to gain some space. Very capable vehicle though, it surprised us many times, especially on our Easter trip to The Springs 4x4 Park, apart from tha lacking ground clearance it performed really well. Considering a 2 inch lift with some 32's to lift her up a bit.

Check out the pictures we took at The Springs. http://www.boating4x4camping.com.au/the_springs_4x4_park.htm

Great pics I havent had mine out all that much the missus and kids dont like it much anymore Rolling Eyes Sad and been fairly busy lately. I wouldnt mind a lift in mine but the $$ are a bit tight these days. I find there is not a lot of leg room either compared to my other 4by's.

Looks good, did you buy as a kit or make it yourself. I'm just about to make a set of drawers for my pajero too.

Hey Sharky

Nice rig. Looks like it's been well looked after. Just my personal opinion but i think it would look better and give it better ride height with a bigger set of tyres.

Nah made it from scratch Robo it was going to be a drawer system but I changed my mind and the drivers side is a compartment that goes half way back for my recovery gear and fluroes(spelling)etc in behind that is a compartment for water containers or other stuff on the passenger side is a section which will eventually have a door as well that goes back to the seat camp chairs fit perfectly in there but am hoping to get plastic tubs for there. I have changed my mind on its design more times than I care to remember Embarassed . I have a fridge slide but am considering now not using it but I'll change my mind again Rolling Eyes . Thanks Bassman yeah she's in great nic I did have a set of 31's on it but it stuffed my economy up too much took it up to 14/100 so I took them off. I'm thinking of putting GU springs in the back to jack it up a bit but will see what happens. Cheers Steve
A pic with the 31's
